Getting Started

Dailies turns your daily habits into RPG-style quests. Create quests for things you want to do every day, set a time for each one, and complete them to earn Daily Dollars.

To create your first quest, tap the + button on the Quests tab. Give it a name, pick a time, choose an icon and category, and set a reward amount.

Quests and Scheduling

When do quests become available?

Each quest becomes available at its scheduled time. Before that, it appears in the "Upcoming" section. After the time passes, it moves to "Available" and you can complete it.

Can I set quests for specific days?

Yes. When creating or editing a quest, you can choose which days of the week it should appear. For example, a weekday-only quest will not show up on Saturday or Sunday.

How do quests reset?

Quests reset automatically at midnight. There are no background processes or timers — the app calculates availability based on today's date and your completion history.

Daily Dollars and Rewards

What are Daily Dollars?

Daily Dollars (DD) are the virtual currency you earn by completing quests. Each quest has a reward amount you set when creating it.

How do I use Daily Dollars?

Go to the Shop tab to create custom rewards like "Coffee Run" or "Movie Night." Set a price for each reward, and redeem them by spending your earned Daily Dollars.

Streaks and Achievements

How do streaks work?

Complete all available quests in a single day to extend your streak. Miss a day and it resets to zero. Your longest streak is always saved.

What are the streak milestones?

You unlock achievement badges at 7, 14, 30, 60, 100, and 365 days. Each milestone triggers a celebration animation.

Widgets

How do I add a widget?

Long-press your home screen, tap the + button in the top corner, search for "Dailies," and choose a small, medium, or large widget. The medium widget includes interactive buttons to complete quests without opening the app.

Why is my widget not updating?

Widgets refresh on a schedule (approximately every 30 minutes, or when a quest becomes available). Opening the app will trigger an immediate refresh.

Backup and Restore

How do I back up my data?

Go to Settings and tap "Export Backup." This saves all your quests, completions, streaks, rewards, and achievements as a JSON file. You can save it to Files, share it via AirDrop, or keep it anywhere you like.

How do I restore from a backup?

In Settings, tap "Import Backup" and select a previously exported JSON file. The app supports older backup formats, so your data will import correctly even if the app has been updated since the backup was created.

Troubleshooting

My streak reset unexpectedly.

Streaks reset if you miss completing all available quests in a day. Check your quest schedule — if a quest was scheduled on a day you did not complete it, the streak resets.

Notifications are not working.

Make sure notifications are enabled in both the app (Settings tab) and in iOS Settings under Notifications. Dailies uses local notifications — no internet connection is required.
